Hi. I'm Piko, and I do things to impress my seven-year-old self.
I owe a lot to video games. My parents didn't speak a lick of English when we moved here, so you can imagine... neither did I. Games were a language I could pick up easily. Kids started to care less about my ability to speak when I could speedrun Super Ghouls and Ghosts on SNES. Does that date me?
I understand that this is a portfolio website, and perhaps I should adopt a more serious tone, but I'm not a serious person. Except when it comes to games. Games took me seriously. They made the rules explicit and the world fair. In turn, I approach my work in development with the utmost respect. I have to. I owe it to the games of my childhood. How's that for serious?
I hope you enjoy your stay at pikopy.exe, and feel free to send me an email like it's 1995.
